Intermediate Pottery

In this intermediate pottery course, students will have the opportunity to refine their skills in form manipulation on the wheel while also exploring the art of hand-building.

The primary focus of this course is to help students achieve mastery in creating pottery pieces with the desired height, shape, width, and a lightweight feel. Our dedicated instructors will guide students through various exercises and projects designed to enhance their ability to craft beautifully thrown objects.

Additionally, students will have the chance to explore decorative slip techniques, which add an extra layer of visual interest to their creations. Techniques such as Mishima and sgraffito will be taught, allowing students to experiment with intricate patterns and designs. By incorporating these techniques, students will be able to elevate their thrown projects to new levels of artistic expression.
